Über die 24. Bled eConference im Juni 2011 in Bled, Slowenien, habe ich bereits auf dem FHS eSociety Blog geschrieben.

Ich selbst werde den (neuen) sog. Special Interest Track "Social Media and Web 2.0" als Track Co-Chair betreuen.

Mit den Special Interest Tracks (CfP (pdf)) möchten wir bestimmten Themen eine stärker sichtbare und fokussierte Plattform bieten. Weitere Tracks sind eHealth, eDependency und Cloud Computing. Diese Tracks ergänzen das Programm des Research Tracks der Konferenz.

Aus dem Call for Papers für den Track "Social Media and Web 2.0":

"The purpose of this SIT is to present and to discuss latest developments and experiences in the field of Social Media and Web 2.0 within societies as such, within and between organizations, and from the perspective of the individual as well."

Folgende Themen sollen thematisiert werden (nicht abschliessend):

• Development, application and utilization of Social Media and Web 2.0 in different fields, e.g. eCommerce, eBusiness
• Societal issues, e.g. the new digital public, eDemocracy, eInclusion
• Research, learning and teaching issues, e.g., eLearning, eScience
• Success factors, pitfalls, and barriers for adoption.
